As a Level and Gameplay Designer of this project, I was responsible for:
· Conceptualising and designing varied experiences in each level
· Blocking of various levels in Unity
· Defining and tailoring the core mechanics
· Outlining the narrative and tone
· Designing puzzles
· Setting progression, pacing and pathing
· General QA & Balancing
Core Design Highlights
Throughout the development of this very fun project, I got to fully apply my skills in Game Design in many areas, given the inherent nature of Game Jam titles. My work in level and puzzle design allowed me to craft, with my teammates, an immersive, enigmatic experience, built upon small and varied floors, accessed through the nucleous of the game: an elevator.
Working under time and thematic constraints (Odyssey) proved to be a great tool to sharpen my design and management skills, communication, and organisation.
